Akela Constructions was awarded the council project to remove an existing boardwalk in Varsity, then design and construct a new one featuring the installation of composite fibre/ recycled materials, bearers, joists, Modwood decking and black powder coated hand/ kick rails. We build concrete transitions from the path to boardwalk for a seamless finish.
Due to the surrounding we engaged a professional environmental consultant for the development of an Environmental Management Plan for the boardwalk renewal, ensuring we left all flora in the condition we found it.
