Akela undertook the construction of a new amenities building including trenching and installation for water, sewer and power, and the demolition of the existing amenities building preformed in 2 separable portions.
Akela carried out concrete cutting to the existing pavement and bitumen before excavating and disposing of rubble, trenches were dug, and steel shoring modules placed to ensure the safety of workers while connecting and installing new sewer and water lines. The trench was filled and compacted once the underground service works were complete and disturbed road and paths were rectified accordingly.
The new Amenities building features Polished concrete blocks, Stainless Steel Toilets, Grabrails and wash basins, Aluminium sliding gates to the front and both sides, allowing them to be locked up at night. It also features Honed Concrete Flooring with an achieved slip rating of R12, Partition doors painted in pastel earthy colours to match its surroundings.
